Installing and Connecting a Services Router
5. Install at least two mounting screws into each moun tin g bracket, in addition to
the center scr
ews from which the router hangs (see Figure 32). Use a number
2 P hillips screwdriver to tighten the screws.

ng Interface Cables to a Services Router
You conne
ct the interfaces installed in the Se rvices Router to various n etwork
media. For more information abou t the network interfaces supported on the router,
see the J-series Services Router Basic LAN and WAN Access Configuration Guide.
1. Have ready a length of the type of cable used by the interface, as specified in
“Networ
k Cable Specifications and Connector Pinouts” on page 185.
2. Insert the cable connector into the cable connector port on the interface
facepla
te.
3. Arrange the cable as follows to prevent it from d islodging or developing
stress p
oints:
a. Secure the c ab le so that it is not supporting its own weight as it ha ngs to
the flo
or.
b. Place excess cable out of the way in a neatly coiled loop.
c. Pla ce fasteners on the loop to help maintain its shape.
